Mechanic suffers broken arm in accident at New Jersey auto center

Accidents in the workplace can be a very serious matter. Such accidents sometimes result in workers getting hurt. Injuries suffered in a workplace accident can have many impacts on a worker.

Recently, an injury-causing workplace accident occurred in New Jersey. The accident involved a woman who is a mechanic at an auto center in Swedesboro, New Jersey.

Reportedly, last Wednesday, while the mechanic was working at the auto center, a car struck her and pinned her against a wall. Reportedly, the car was a customer's car and the accident occurred as a result of one of the mechanic's co-workers inadvertently hitting the car's accelerator. This inadvertent hitting of the accelerator reportedly was the result of the co-worker's foot getting caught on a floor mat in the car.

This workplace accident caused the mechanic to sustain injuries (including a broken arm). The mechanic was transported to a hospital in the area after the accident.

As this matter underscores, workplace accidents can result in individuals suffering impactful injuries.

When an individual is injured in a workplace accident, one option that is available to them is to pursue a workers' compensation claim. Workers' compensation can play a major role in helping workers deal with the costs and impacts of an injury caused by a workplace accident.

The process of seeking workers' compensation can be a complex one and many important and complicated issues can arise in connection to workers' compensation claims. Thus, if an individual is pursuing a workers' compensation claim in connection to a workplace accident, he or she may wish to consider seeking advice from a workers' compensation attorney.
