Man severely injured in bus vs. pedestrian accident in New Jersey

Auto vs. pedestrian accidents can cause a great deal of harm to pedestrians. This can be seen in an accident that recently occurred in New Jersey.

The accident occurred on Wednesday in West Orange. That morning, a bus was travelling along Northfield Avenue. The bus in question was a NJ Transit bus. The bus then hit a 36-year-old man from West Orange who was crossing Northfield Avenue.

As of Thursday, authorities had not issued any citations or charges in relation to the accident. The crash reportedly is still in the process of being investigated.

The 36-year-old man was seriously hurt in this bus accident. He was brought to a hospital after the crash. According to the West Orange Patch article which reported this story, as of Thursday afternoon, the man was in critical but stable condition.

As this incident shows, auto vs. pedestrian accidents sometimes result in pedestrians suffering severe injuries. Thus, one hopes that all motor vehicle drivers take all proper steps to prevent auto vs. pedestrian accidents when out on the roads. One also hopes drivers are held accountable when they commit negligent conduct when driving and such conduct causes an auto vs. pedestrian accident to occur.

Injuries suffered in an auto vs. pedestrian accident can have substantial effects on a pedestrian's life. If a pedestrian is hurt in an auto vs. pedestrian accident and suspects that the accident was caused by driver negligence, he or she may wish to consider contacting an experienced personal injury attorney to see what options are available to try to seek relief.
