New Jersey home collapse injures construction workers

An accident occurred earlier this week in New Jersey which caused multiple construction workers to get injured.

The accident happened in Little Egg Harbor Township on Wednesday.

Construction work was being done on a home in the township that had been damaged in Superstorm Sandy. On Wednesday, efforts were being taken to elevate the home. Reportedly, as these efforts were being taken, the home collapsed.

This collapse resulted in several construction workers at the site getting hurt. According to authorities, it appears that the collapse even caused one worker to fall from the top floor of the home.

According to the article on WPVI-TV's website which reported this story, three construction workers were brought to hospitals after the accident. Thankfully, the injuries the workers suffered are not believed to be life-threatening in nature.

Reportedly, it is not yet known what the collapse's cause was.

As this incident shows, accidents at construction sites can be very harmful to construction workers. There are wide variety of injuries construction workers can suffer in such accidents. Examples of injuries that construction site accidents can cause include: head injuries, spinal injuries, broken bones and loss of limbs. Such injuries can lead to a person facing significant costs.

One thing that can provide significant financial relief to individuals who have suffered injuries in a workplace accident is workers' compensation. If a person has been hurt in a construction accident or another type of workplace accident, he or she may wish to consider seeking advice from an experienced workers' compensation attorney.
