Lawsuit accuses gas station of failing to keep parking lot safe

Walking in a gas station parking lot is an experience most of the car-driving population here in New Jersey has had. Most of the time, such walks go completely without incident. However, when gas stations fail to take proper steps to keep their parking lots safe, dangers can arise in connection to such walks.

Recently, a case has arisen involving an accident at a gas station parking lot. The case is from another state.

The case involves a gas station in Beaumont, Texas. An individual has alleged that the gas station failed to keep its parking lot safe. A lawsuit has been brought against the gas station by the individual in connection to these allegations.

According to the lawsuit, the individual was walking in the gas station's parking lot on July 21, 2011. The lawsuit claims that there was some cracked concrete in the lot and that this cracked concrete caused the individual to trip and fall. According to the lawsuit, this accident has caused the individual to suffer several harms, including impairment, disfigurement, pain and mental anguish.

It will be interesting to see what happens in this premises liability case and how it is ultimately resolved.

As the allegations in this case illustrate, great harm can be caused when gas stations commit negligence in relation to the safety of their parking lots. One hopes that gas stations make sure to act properly in regards to their parking lots and are held accountable when they commit harmful parking lot-related negligence.
