Jersey City crash results in motorcyclist suffering broken bones

It is vital for motor vehicle drivers here in New Jersey to act appropriately when it comes to turns and passes. This includes making sure to watch for other vehicles when performing such maneuvers. When a motorist fails to do this, it can result in them cutting off another vehicle. This can lead to motor vehicle collisions. Such accidents can be particularly harmful when the vehicle that a driver cuts off is a motorcycle, as the level of physical protection that motorcyclists have is generally fairly low.

Recently, here in Jersey City, an auto collision involving a motorcycle occurred.

On the night of Nov. 19, a motorcycle was going along Grand Street. The motorcycle's operator was a 25-year-old man from Millburn. Then, at Grand Street's intersection with Monmouth Street, a collision occurred between the motorcycle and a truck that was making a left turn. The truck was being driven by a 62-year-old man from Arizona.

The 25-year-old man alleges that he was cut off by the truck. The article which reported this story did not mention if police have yet reached any conclusions regarding who was at fault in this motor vehicle accident. It also did not mention if any citations or charges are anticipated in regards to the crash.

The 25-year-old man was hurt in the accident. A broken pelvis and a broken leg are among the injuries he suffered. According to the above-mentioned article, he was transported to a hospital in the area after the collision.
