New Jersey accidents lead to serious car accidents and injuries

Two accidents along the New Jersey Turnpike made it difficult for other drivers on the morning of Jan. 29, according to the news. Reports state that at least one person - and possibly two - was injured in the accidents, and multiple vehicles were damaged. According to the news, the first car accident happened around 8:00 a.m., and the second resulted shortly after, when a tractor-trailer overturned.

The crashes, which are under investigation, slowed and stopped traffic for a short time. According to the news, the first accident, which took place near Route 73 in Cherry Hill, happened when a tanker-truck went off the road. The driver had to be extricated from his vehicle by emergency crews, according to reports. The driver was airlifted, and the news did not report his condition.

The second accident may have been caused by a tire that had come free from an unknown vehicle, according to officers on the scene. They claim that the tire slammed into one of the tractor-trailers causing a chain reaction to occur. That crash also involved two cars, according to the reports. Police indicated that at least one person was seriously hurt, but they did not release the names or ages of the victims.

If you've been hurt in a situation like this, you shouldn't be forced to pay for your medical bills, lost wages or other losses. Someone else not paying attention to the road or driving negligently should never result in your pain and suffering; when it does, they should have to face the consequences.

You may be able to recoup some of your costs and seek compensation for your pain and suffering and other non-economic damages. An attorney may be able to help you pursue civil action against the responsible party.
