It can be an incredibly serious matter when a bicyclist is struck by a motor vehicle. Such accidents can result in a bicyclist getting injured. One type of injury bicyclists sometimes suffer in auto vs. bicycle accidents are leg injuries. Leg injuries can be very impactful on a bicyclist’s life.

Recently, an injury-causing auto vs. bicycle accident occurred in Jersey City.

Tuesday night, a teenage girl who was riding a bicycle was crossing Summit Avenue at its intersection with Montgomery Street. According to witnesses, the teen was then hit by a truck that had failed to yield to her when making a right turn. Witnesses say that the truck left the scene after the accident.

Included among the charges he is facing are charges of reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.

The teenage girl suffered injuries, including leg injuries, in this auto vs. bicycle accident. She was transported to a hospital in the area after the crash.
